I am Yolie. I am your neighbor. I have a long track record of improving our communities. Along the way, I developed the experience, skills and relationships to ensure we get more resources and better results from Sacramento.
I was born in Panorama City. I grew up in Mission Hills, attended CSUN and I now live in San Fernando. I have a deep commitment to our neighborhoods.
Public Service. I served on Mission Hills Neighborhood Council. I served in the District Office of Assembly District 39. I served on the North Area Valley Planning Commission for the City of Los Angeles.
Community Service. I work with Homeboy Industries, forming partnerships to expand e-recycling and job opportunities. I have worked with MEND, providing job counseling and job connections for local residents and local employers. I have worked with California Food Policy Advocates to improve health and nutrition in our schools, child care and neighborhoods.
Volunteer Service. I have incubated Friends of the Nature Parkway and served on the boards of Comision Femenil, Pacifica KPFK 90.7fm, and the San Fernando Community Health Center.
My entire life has been about giving back. I look forward to working together to put our neighborhoods first.
Education. I hold a BA in Sociology and Psychology from California State University Northridge and a Masters in Public Administration from the University of Southern California.
